David has over 30 years' experience in the automotive industry and is the Chief Executive Officer, Automotive of Capricorn Society, responsible for the core automotive business which operates in all parts of Australia and New Zealand.

In his role, David is accountable for the leadership and overall profitability of the Automotive business unit, developing and driving short, medium and long term growth initiatives, new product development, marketing, promotion, Member and Preferred Supplier services and expansion into new markets.

The AAAA is the national industry association representing manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, importers and retailers of automotive parts and accessories, tools and equipment, as well as providers of vehicle service, repair and modification services in Australia.

Established in 1980, the AAAA now has more than 2,250 members, produces The Australian Auto Aftermarket and Collision Repair Expo, publishes the Australian Automotive Aftermarket magazine and represents the industry before Governments and Regulators. The parts and maintenance sector of the $108 billion Australian automotive industry represents about $34 billion. AAAA member companies employ more than 40,000 people and export over $800 million worth of product a year.

Starting his career in 1994 as an apprentice before taking over as a master technician and foreman across a number of dealerships, Gavin Cribb eventually returned to Melburnian roots to start training the next generations of mechanics.

As a trainer, Gavin travelled the world working with with a variety of organisations including a private TAFE, Chrysler Australia and the Fiat Chrysler dealer network to deliver a number of technical training initiatives.
